Flaxton Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company

Serving Northwestern North Dakota, our company has been in business over 100 years. We continue to provide quality insurance products to our policyholders at an affordable price. Flaxton Farmers Mutual provides dependable service, striving to maintain the personal connection with our policyholders. We are a property and casualty insurance company and at Flaxton Farmers Mutual our policyholders have a name and are not just a number. You can sleep well at night knowing we have you covered.

Established in 1906, 28 original founders organized the company. Collectively, they owned $30,400 worth of property that they desired to insure against fire & lightning. They formed a farmers’ mutual and a company was born.

Many changes have evolved over the years, with Flaxton Farmers Mutual also changing with the times. We work hard to offer our policyholders what they need in an ever changing world.

We write business in 13 counties, most of which are located in northwestern North Dakota. Our product is marketed through independent insurance agents.

Presently, we are reinsured with Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company of Grinnell, IA.
